Testing & Customers Reviews

Here are the reviews from YouTube bloggers who tested the hedge trimmer for thick branches and have found them effective and worth buying.

John H: "I'll make a video on a new tool. I got this WORX on Father's Day. I hadn't been to I wasn't familiar with these products before. But they're nice for cordless operation, and they're lightweight. And I'm getting older, and my wife likes to do some of the work too. So she can use them and trying to get away from gasoline products.

I've got solar panels now, and I can charge batteries and use them in case of power outages and, so, forth and whoever knows anyway. So, it came in these boxes a little banged up, but nothing was damaged there's the inner boxes.

Okay, you get two screws in the bag here to attach this guard and the screws are going to go in here. It looks like, on each side guard slides on here, we have to take this screw out and you can just turn the screw like this. It comes out easily enough, and this goes over here screws are facing this way, apparently, and there are matching cut, that match these. Screw back in, tighten it up like that, put better in hold it here. This protects you. This is your safety switch here pull that and you pull your trigger at the same time you pull that. So, you have to hold this all the time while you're using it which. That's fine, because you're gonna be holding it with this anyway. That's a nice feature, pretty lightweight.

Okay, I'm going to try out the trimmer WORX 20-volt cordless trimmer. Now, this is the safety switch incorporated, into the handle here, which is nice, you just press. The works great.

Okay, here's the final trimming job. We pulled out two of the bushes because they're crowding out the other ones. Previous owners planted too many bushes. So, left three, and there's the trimming, and I'm still battery is still charged. So, battery has really long life. I probably used it an hour or more.

So, I recommend the product YouTubers."

Now Gardening: "Hi, I'm Valerie with now gardening, and today I'm here to review the Bosch AHS 50-20 LI and to show you how it works. This review is based purely off of my own personal experience. The Bosch AHS 50-20 LI is a lightweight battery-operated hedge trimmer like most of Bosch's home garden equipment, it operates on an 18-volt 2.5 amp battery.

One thing I love about Bosch's battery-operated line, is that nearly all of the home garden equipment operates off the same battery, which works perfect for me, because I always keep a couple of these guys charged inside. So, that whenever I'm doing my yard work, I can easily pop it in. I'm ready to go I can also change between different equipment. So, if I'm trimming the hedges one minute and the next minute I need to do some weed eating.

It's ready to go. You have the hedge trimmer. You have the battery, although. You can buy it without the battery if you choose, and it comes with this nice cover for the blades for storage you just slide that on when you're done price-wise, it's currently at 120 euros or 120 pounds depending on where you live.

Now, the specs for this say that it'll operate for 200 meters squared or for about 80 minutes. I do not have a huge long hedge row here at my house, so I've never really tested that the battery life but overall, for bush product I found that the batteries operate at least as long as what they promise online.

Now on to the main specs: the blade here is 50 centimeters or a half a meter and the space between the individual teeth is 20 millimeters or two centimeters. This comes with the Bosch quick-cut technology, which means that you pass it once, and it's done.

Another function, which is pretty handy, is it has an anti-blocking system, which means that if you hit a branch that is a little bit too big for it, it knows it can't cut it and, so, it actually just stops the machine, allows you to disengage the hedge trimmer instead of marring up into that branch and getting stuck. And then you're to trying to pull it out. This is supposed to cut branches up to 25 millimeters in diameter, I haven't personally measured the branches.

It's really reduced one headache in my life with the garden maintenance around my house. The only thing I would say is that if you have a hedge that is wider than one meter, then it might not be the ideal hedge trimmer for you. You might need to get one that has a longer blade. I'm sure they'll also weigh a little bit more.

So, keep that in mind as well, but overall for me and what i have around my house, this has been a great hedge trimmer and I have absolutely no regrets yes I would absolutely buy it again."
