What is the best pressure washer under £100? The first thing to decide before buying your pressure washer is whether you need a gas-powered or an electric one.

  • Models that are fueled by gas deliver higher pressure and cover longer distances. They are more suitable for larger jobs, such as cleaning the entire exterior of your house.

  • In addition to being less powerful, an electric pressure washer requires a cable, something that restricts the unit’s movements. However, you may go for a battery-powered option to deal with lighter jobs.

Electric models have numerous advantages, though. They do not use fuel and, therefore, have low running costs and are more environmentally friendly. The electric option is ideal for cleaning movable objects such as a vehicle or a barbecue grill, but can also tackle other jobs provided the cable is long enough.

How Pressure Washers Differ

In terms of technical specifications, there are three essential measurements to consider: GPM (gallons per minute), PSI (pounds per square inch), and CU (cleaning units).

  • PSI tells you the amount of pressure the machine can produce for a square inch of water.
  • GPM helps you figure out how much water it can use.
  • CUs are used for rating the aggregate value of the GPM and PSI.

Best Pressure Washers Under £100 Compared

Below, we have compared pressure washers from 4 trusted, globally recognized brands — Bosch, Kärcher, WORX, and Draper — and identified the strengths of each product.

For light jobs and cleaning hard-to-reach areas, we recommend the cordless WORX WG620E Portable Pressure Cleaner. The main advantage of this model is versatility as it is designed to draw water from nearly any source, be it a bottle or a lake, at a rate of 120 litre per hour.

Additionally, the pressure cleaner comes with an adjustable nozzle that switches between 5 settings of stream intensity. With a weight of 3 kg, the unit is only 46 cm long and runs on a Li-ion battery.

Best lightweight

Another cordless pressure washer is the Draper 97533 D20. This model is more lightweight (2.2 kg) and operates on a 20V Li-ion battery.

Apart from portability, the major strength of this model is that it comes as a complete kit. The purchase includes a 6-meter self-priming hose, a watering lance, and an extension lance, a soap bottle, and a charger.

Best powerful

If you need a more powerful machine for larger jobs, consider the Bosch 06008A7F70 EasyAquatak with a max pressure of 110 bar and a flow rate of 330 l/h. Made with a highly efficient motor pump, this pressure washer is a great choice for cleaning objects that are particularly dirty.

Also, the unit has a beneficial Auto-stop feature that will allow you to save energy. Another advantage is a wide range of accessories including a rotary point jet nozzle for stubborn dirt and a flat jet nozzle for cleaning bikes.

Best compact with an integrated suction tube

What separates the Kärcher K 2 Compact Pressure Washer from other models on the list is an integrated suction tube. This accessory allows for applying detergent to any surface and is highly useful in cleaning both hard and delicate surfaces.

Like the Bosch 06008A7F70, this model has a max pressure of 110 bar, but its flow rate is higher and rated at 360 l/h. While being able to deliver high pressure, the Kärcher K 2 is a little bit more compact and lightweight than the Bosch model.

Gardening Products Review: "WORX Hydroshot WG644 Portable Power Cleaner is an awesome piece of gear. I really love it. This is a very different kind of pressure washer than you normally see on the marketplace. It is one of the most innovative products that I've seen in a long time in the pressure washer market. Talking about weight, with a conventional pressure washer you're just going to get a wand which is very light. This actually has the motor and batteries built-in and you're adding the wand at the end here. The whole unit itself weighs six point nine pounds. But when you disperse the weight by grabbing it with your left or right hand up on the front and grabbing the rear it's very manageable. I could use this thing all day. There is a single head that comes with the unit that is inserted into a brass coupling on the top. What you do want to make sure of is that you give this a little pull to make sure that you don't fire your head off which I've done before. The different spray patterns are 0, 40, 25, and 15 angle and this is all adjusted by a ring that's on the outside of the spray head itself. So I really like this. Most conventional pressure washers have different tips that you actually will insert into the end for the different spray patterns but this has a universal tip that makes it really nice. So that you're not having a bunch of different angled tips to keep track of.

There also is a setting for the low pressure which is 290 psi. It's not that the 290 isn't working. It's just a little bit more efficient to use the high-power on a place that's pretty stained. The 290 has applications however. You may be washing windows or other things that need a lighter spray. So both of these pressures are what make this machine fantastic. Worx has come up with a separate hose that can actually be used with a bucket or it could be a barrel full of water when you don't have a hose available. Or you may have a hose available but it just won't stretch long enough to meet your application. This is really awesome. If you've got to do something in the woods, you've got a boat that you just can't get to with a standard hose you've got the ability to to use the Hydroshot. It's not quite as effective or I can say it's not quite as quick as the 450 psi and also when you get really stained areas the 450 psi will work those off better.

One of the other advantages that I really like about this is that it only uses 0.9 gallons per minute. You could literally wash a small car with a two gallon bucket of water. And using this particular gun you don't even have to grab the hose and drag it out and hook it up you just go up a pail of water and you're good to go. I can't say enough good things about this thing. I think it's really well designed. I love the fact that it's battery-powered. You don't have cords hanging all over the place and one of the other things that I really like about this is it has a single head with adjustable spray patterns on it. It's just one less thing to lose. It's just a dream to work with. And again I just love this whole fact that you can get this down into a very small container when you're storing it either in your garage or your gardening shed or wherever. So all in all this is a great homeowner product. It just meets the needs of so many different applications."

Ewa Stefaniak-Keith: "I've been recently looking for a pressure washer and after reading many highly positive reviews I decided to purchase to Karcher K2 Compact Home Pressure Washer. This comes with patio cleaner. When I saw it first time it looked so insignificant that I didn't even think that it's going to do the job so I was amazed when I saw what this little thing can do. We'd moved to our house just over three years ago and the patio hasn't been cleaned since. We wanted to give it a little paint but before we could do it we had to clean it.

To be honest with you I wasn't even thinking about doing this review until I saw how fast this removes the dirt from our patio and realized that this can work so efficiently. It's also comfortable to use it. Please bear in mind that this is the lowest model of the full Karcher range when it comes to its power and it still does the job. I am highly impressed with this machine. I've never had a high pressure washer before so this is my first purchase and I'm glad I got it. I'm impressed and I would recommend it to anyone."
