What is the best ceramic heater? First, it should be powerful enough to heat your room. A high-performance heater should have at least 1,500-wattage power. The more temperature settings the unit has, the better. Portability is also essential, as a heater should not take up much space in your room and should be lightweight enough to be moved around the house. We believe that the De'Longhi Ceramic Heater fits these criteria best. It combines Ceramic Technology with a dust filter that ensures a cleaner airflow.

Most ceramic heaters with automatic oscillation swing 45 degrees from left to right. But some like this one can swing 90 degrees left/right and 45 degrees up/down.

The main advantage of ceramic heaters is how safe they are. There’s no fire-hot element, no spark, no contained nor open flame. The power source isn’t explosive, meaning as long as you use common sense, there’s no immediate, severe risk of fires or other misfortunes.

Ceramic heating technology is an evolution of an electronic component known as a resistor. Resistors are designed to prevent current above a set level of voltage/amperage from making it through. Thus they’re used to reduce surges. However, resistors have to dispose of that extra energy somehow, and they do this by shedding heat. This is part of why computers get hot.

This technology has been repurposed to produce heat by resisting as much power as possible while only letting enough through to the ground and completing a causal circuit. Why is it called ceramic? Because resistors are made of ceramics.

Testing & Customers Reviews

Here are the reviews from YouTube bloggers who tested the Ceramic Heaters and have found them effective and worth buying.

DT Unboxed: "I'm gonna be doing an unboxing and review of the De'Longhi Capsule 1800 watt ceramic fan heater.

It's currently July and winter here in Melbourne. So, I'm absolutely freezing. Got my energy bill last week, and it was through the roof. We use ducted heating here, but during the day, it's just myself in my office. So, the ducted heating is a waste of power really. So, decided to buy this. Let's see how it goes, let's open it up and see what's inside.

So, we got our instruction manuals at the top, a piece of cardboard foam, and then there's our portable fan heater. Is a box, just more packaging. So, unboxing wise, there's not a whole lot to see. Here we have the heater and it's really small, it's really light. The thing that attracted me to this, is the fact that it's got a good build quality to it De'Longhi well renowned brand. So, you generally know you're gonna get a good quality product, but I didn't see many reviews online about this particular product.

So, let's see how it goes there is a kick-out stand at the back. So, you just pull that latch out and then that's how it's gonna sit on the table. Now, the power lead itself is not very long to be honest, it's probably that's a meter maybe, maybe 120 centimeters.

So, for our heat setting, let's stand on to number one, and then we'll turn the dial on the right up. I can start feeling the heat now as you can hear there is fan noise, but that is to be expected from a fan heater of course. But, if you do need a quiet atmosphere for your office or room, then this, probably, isn't the option for you, it's definitely bearable, though. So, if you just popped it on the ground, it probably wouldn't distract you too much. But I guess that's dependent on the individual. So that's the first function.

The second function is just the fan by itself. So, if you don't want the heat element, just turn to the fan setting and then turn the dial on the right and now you can hear the fans on. But the temperatures obviously getting cooler and not because this is an air conditioner, but just because the heating element is now off that's now just blowing the room air around.

And then finally, the third function is the anti-frost setting. So, if you want to ensure that overnight your room doesn't start frosting up, all the windows start frosting up, or anything freezes, then, if this is a low heat setting, super low heat, it just ensures that there's no frost build-up. So, you need to switch to number two, and then on the dial on the right just leave it in the middle. So, we don't need to turn that up at all just at the home setting, when you do turn the fan up, then it's obviously going to go to the full heating mode. But if you keep it at zero, you'll see that the light is still on, and it will just make sure that there's no frost in the room."
