Water distillation is an efficient, tried-and-true way to purify tap water. Water is boiled into vapor and then condensed back into liquid.

How Distillation Differs from Other Methods

  • Distillation kills microorganisms in the water and removes debris, heavy metals, and sediment.
  • Filtration block bacteria and parasites while frequently being ineffective against smaller viruses.
  • Chlorination eliminates bacteria and viruses of all sizes but does not work against parasites with a protective shell.
  • Boiling water kills any type of microorganism but does not remove sediment.

So as you see, water distillation eliminates all contaminants. The distilled pure water can be used daily as drinking water and for coffee brewing; in laboratories, hospitals, and dental clinics.

Testing & Customers Reviews

Here are the reviews from YouTube bloggers who tested the water distillers and have found them effective and worth buying.

ROGER WALDMAN: "We have really hard water at our shop. I have a water purifier at the house, but I don't want to get one for the shop because it would just get ruined very quickly because we have well water. So, I decided to purchase an inexpensive water distiller Mophorn 4L.

It's like a cooker: there's a fill line right there, and here is the fan and the condenser that goes on top. This thing has a pretty good rubber seal.

I don't know how the hard water is at our shop. I have a purifier here, but the purifier, as I said, would not probably last as long, you'd constantly be having to change filters. I think this is also too if you have a rental property if you have people that are using stuff and you know comes up missing - you're only going to lose like 60 or 70 bucks, rather than a thousand dollars if you spend like a bunch of money on a huge softener system or purification system.

This is probably, one of the least expensive ways to clean your water. You can boil your water, I mean, you can maybe make your own, but if you want to go out and buy something to distill your water, this is one of the cheapest things on the market.

This is also portable, so if you live in an apartment and you don't want to basically hook something up and have to unhook it your mobile, you can take this with you, and you can take it with you when you travel."

Roger's Bits & Doings: "I actually know what my last one water distiller didn't pan out as well. So, I got this one this one's a water distiller from Megahome, it came within a week.

The instructions on this one are very clear: it tells you all the parts, tells you how to put it together, and tells you where the activation charcoal goes. I've put this together, which this was fairly simple, unlike the other one. We have to wash this out before we even use it for the first time. I like that it tears off easily.

If anyone out there wants or needs a water distiller, I personally recommend Megahome. This lovely piece of equipment has just saved time, money, and stress everybody."
