An evaporative cooler operates by releasing water vapor into the atmosphere to minimize the temperature. The cooler comprises a water tank, which is refilled with cold water, a fan, and cooling pads. Once the cooler is switched on, the warm air in the atmosphere is pulled in and absorbed by the saturated pads to cool it down. It does not contain ozone refrigerant, nor does it use a compressor like a conventional power consuming air conditioner.

Costway is a good example of the evaporative cooler. It blows out large amount of cool air which reduces your surrounding air about 37℉ down when adding the frozen ice box. It can deliver wind at a wide angle, with the blades swinging automatically in the horizontal direction. It comes with a 8L water tank. It has a timer that can be set for a longer period of time — up to 8 hours.

It can be freely wheeled from one room to another. It has 3 speed levels, with the lowest one for calm sleep. It works by lowering temperature and preventing air from drying thanks to its technologies of ice crystal refrigeration and air humidification.

0 # Costway - poor choiceMary Ellen Grant 2021-07-17 01:01
Hi ,
I previously had a Honeywell Evaporative Cooler - it had a "removable" water container (very important for cleaning especially in areas with hard water). The Costway has a very poor water container that can not be removed and cannot be cleaned. Also, it starts to leak as the hose system is impacted everytime you pull the water tray in and out. No way to repair that either.
Overall it would be a good machine if they made the water tray removable and constructed higher quality hose system.
