Silver Cymbal: "This thing is loaded with features. Of course you could run on gasoline but this thing even runs on propane. It uses the same tanks that you use for your gas grill. But the features don't stop there because you've even got remote start. Best part is it's actually affordable. I've reviewed a lot of generators but I've never seen one that has the features of this or the same ease of use and that's what makes this so different. This is the Westinghouse iGEN4500DF generator. What I love is that they include all the propane components you need. You get the regulator along with a connection hose. There's been generators available for years that ran on propane but you had to kind of put them together yourself or modify them. This thing comes from the factory ready to go with everything you need. You also get the oil, a funnel, even some tools to get started. This is very different especially in this price category.

This thing weighs a little bit but they've done something really clever here. It's got this pullout trolley handle that lets you balance the machine. You can easily transport it around. Then a great job with this control panel. There's a ton of stuff in a small space. I love that they put these rubber protective covers on there to keep the outlets from getting rain or dirt in there. And you've got an RV outlet along with the standard household plugs. And in addition of course you've got parallel operation outlets which just means that you can connect two of these together if you want. And they've even included things like this USB plug so you can power things like your phone or a computer. They also give you a digital gas gauge which is very unusual. And just like in a fancy car you've even got push-button start which is pretty cool and you do have a pull start cord as well if you need it. There's no choke on this generator and all that means is that once you've put your fuel in and you pull start it there's nothing else to worry about. This thing just runs and you don't have to touch it again. You should note that when you're running on propane you're only gonna get about 3,300 Watts because propane is always gonna put out a little bit less power. And that cool digital gas gauge unfortunately doesn't work when you're using propane because it can't tell how much is in the tank.

This generator is very quiet. It's only about 58 to 59 decibels. This iGEN4500DF also includes a remote starter and this can be very handy especially if you're in a campsite or you want to just be able to remotely control it. And it is so simple to use you just push the button to either on or off and the machine will completely fire up. And this is why having no choke is really critical, because if you had a manual choke a remote starter could never work properly. But in this case it's simple to use and you have complete control over the machine. Overall this generator is absolutely awesome because they packed it full of features, made the price affordable and you get the dual fuel operation. I've never reviewed a propane generator in the past because they were usually garbage. You had to either hack up your own generator or they were like a homebrew solution. This is a factory built model that everything gets included in a box and you're ready to use it no matter what kind of fuel you want to use."

Mrgunsngear Channel: "Champion 2500-Watt Dual Fuel Inverter Generator is very very lightweight which is one of the big benefits of it. It weighs 39 pounds. So for a generator that's putting out that much power super portable and just very easy to deal with all the way around. We have the ECO mode which is going to be the default setting of it unless you're putting a higher load on the system. So what that ECO mode does is it allows it to run at less RPMS and just conserves energy so with a full tank on this which is 1.1 gallons it's going to give you just over 11 hours of runtime if it's running at 20% capacity. It does come with a propane hookup you don't have to go out and buy one. It's going to come with this USB adapter for our 12-volt power source and of course that'll run anything that runs off of a 12-volt power source. So anything you can run in your car you can run it right there as well.

One of the cool things about these small Champion inverter generators is the paralync system. So the paralynk works with all different types of sizes of Champion generators but this specific one here with the 30 amp plugs and the 30 amp locking plug works with any of the Champion inverter generators that are rated from 2000 to 3000 starting watts so you can mix and match. Thing is rated at 53 decibels so that's right about what you would expect sound wise from a dishwasher. Now how do they do that? Couple ways. Number one is an enclosed unit versus an open frame unit. So being enclosed makes it quieter by default and then additionally inverter generators due to the way their electronics work simply are quieter. So those two things combined make it a very very quiet unit which is nice if you're out camping at a campground or just even if you're powering things in your house if you don't want to hear generator noise all night long as it's working so.

I'm not recommending these for whole house. I'm recommending them for short term use, camping use, powering your refrigerator, microwave or a heater, an air conditioner something like that. They absolutely can do it and again being so portable and lightweight is awesome. Additionally one of the benefits of having that ability to use propane is that propane doesn't go bad. Storing gas can be problematic if you're going to do it long term. So with propane it eliminates that and you can have very large propane tanks stored up and you may never use them for years but when you go to use them they'll be good to go and you can run this generator off of it. They are epa and carb certified if that matters where you live. So if it's that's important to you just know that they are certified for that. They run clean. They run a long time. I've never had an issue with any of my Champion generators and they've performed well."
