What is the best shoe dryer? Depending on your needs, you may want a show dryer that can dry multiple items simultaneously. If you have a big family or lead an active lifestyle, choose a stationary device with at least four hot-air pipes. Some models allow you to adjust the temperature or even switch to cold air for drying expensive leather shoes, for example.

Cold drying may take hours but prevents any damage to the item, whereas hot drying does the job fast but is less gentle on shoes. Another thing to consider is how the dryer distributes heat. One of the most efficient techniques is utilized by the Snowpea Electric Shoe Dryer, which emits heat 360 degrees, providing even heat distribution.

Made with more than 1,500 holes, the device radiates heat throughout all parts of the shoes and gloves. This unit features precise temperature control and always maintains a drying temperature of 55℃ to prevent any damage to shoes. Moreover, you can set a timer for 3, 6, or 9 hours depending on the type of material, thickness, and moisture level.

How shoe dryers differ

Shoe dryers can be either stationary or portable, with each type having advantages and disadvantages.

  • Stationary dryers are a more multifunctional and adjustable option. Some stationary shoe dryers are made with four pipes, two of which are intended for drying shoes, while the other two are used to dry hats and gloves.

The product features an intelligent 99-minute timer, an adjustable rack, and a foldable design. This shoe dryer works with various materials, including leather, rubber, synthetics, felt, neoprene, fleece, and more.

It has an intelligent option of mild heat or no heat at all and will not harm delicate, breathable materials.

It removes moisture and perspiration, reducing the growth of bacteria and mold, the primary causes of odor.

The downside to this shoe dryer is that it takes up some space and is pretty bulky to carry around for travel. But their main advantage is to eliminate not only moisture and sweat in shoes but also odors like in Renogy Boot Dryer.

  • Portable boot dryers are designed to dry shoes only and have a limited temperature range. Also, they are less potent than stationary shoe dryers and require up to 4 hours to dry an item. Nevertheless, this type is popular because of its portability and small weight.

The Therm-ic UV Warmer heats quickly and is suitable for all types of shoes and gloves. The device weighs only 250 grams and measures 20 x 5 x 12 cm. Note that the device charges via a USB port but does not come with a charger.

Testing & Customers Reviews

Here are the reviews from YouTube bloggers who tested the shoe dryers and have found them effective and worth buying.

TheBootGuy: "Today we're looking at the MaxxDry boot dryer. Everybody who's emailed me, I told you they were great.

So, I've picked out my favorite boot dryer there is. This is the MaxxDry - 4 vets time heating cycle on and off heat. So, you don't have to run heat through this thing. If you just want to run fresh air through it, so you don't dry out your boots completely, which means drying out the leather and baby releasing a little bit too much of the oil that's in the leather. Then you can put it on no heat and then it's just moving air around inside your boot. And that's one of the functions that I truly do like is the heat or no heat function.

And the fact that I have four vents on here instead of just a two-vet dryer also is kind of something that I really like. And I think is really practical when it comes to work boots in winter or wet seasons. Not only can you fit the tubes on there, but with the way these four exhaust chambers are is that you can get a glove on each one.

Okay, if you're drying the wool socks out, they're not gonna stink as bad as if you just left them to dry and just didn't get any heat through the heat gonna kill off a lot of the bacteria, which is what makes the smell happen."

Geordie Jo Reviews: "Today's video is about this shoe dryer. So, the lovely team at Snowpea just there contacted me again and asked if I would like to try another one of their products, and I jumped at the chance I've been really impressed with the products so far, so it's time to test this one out item is gifted I did not pay for it.

So, in the box it came with this little instruction manual here. This is the device itself. So, here are the two pods and it just says here the shell of the two pods is made from fire-retardant material. They feel very, very lightweight indeed. We have the cable that is attached to it. So, all of it there and it looks very high quality. It is 130 centimeters long. It comes with a UK design. It is modern, small, and portable. I have some shoes here just to test everything out. Yeah, I really like the size of this um I am basically a UK size three-four, depending on what kind of shoe it is. Let's have a look.

They do say do not put this in a soaking wet shoe and pop it in. You can pop it in a damp shoe, but not a soaking wet shoe. Or you can just pop them in just to warm your boots up or slippers that'd be great to warm your slippers up if it's a cold night.

So, if it's a cold night and we all know the cold weather is coming up we can pop these in with slippers to warm it up. I really like the idea of this. Personally, I think this is a lovely item. It's nice it's lightweight, perfect for the wintertime when you want to dry those damp shoes out, warm them boots up, warm your gloves up, whatever it is. Fantastic little product."
