There are two types of cordless pressure washers: tank and tankless. They come in different sizes, power ratings, and specifications.

How Cordless Pressure Washers Differ

  • Tankless models require an external source of water and are connected to a water hose.
  • Pressure washers with an integrated water tank are more portable and can be used on a trip. However, they are heavier and limited by the capacity of the tank.

Cordless Pressure Washers Compared

  • The key advantage of the cordless pressure cleaner is its adjustability. A versatile device like Greenworks features a 5-in-1 adjustable jet nozzle with 5 patterns. 104°F (40°C) is the maximum inlet temp for use of hot water. A 20-ft siphon hose with a filter allows to draw water from any water source (pond, river, or lake), and to pump the water from the pool to use to wash the tiles.

The ergonomically designed rotary rear handle allows the machine to maneuver into two different positions. This feature is particularly helpful for those who have to deal with hard-to-reach areas.

  • The most lightweight (4 lbs) and compact battery-powered pressure cleaner is the WORX WG620 Hydroshot. It's preasure of 320 PSI is good enough to clean bikes, cars, windows, the grill or patio furniture. Hydroshot Portable Power Cleaner draws water from buckets, pools, lakes, or any other water source. It is also comes with the a 2L bottle connector, so you can clean on the go.

For tougher cleaning jobs use more powerful WORX 450 PSI Power Share Hydroshot or Hydroshot Ultra model with maximum pressure of 725 PSI.

  • Best multifunctional. What sets this model apart from others on the list is that it can be used as both a tankless and a tank pressure washer. The Sun Joe Battery-Powered Portable Pressure Washer with a 6.6-Gallon tank + a base connected directly to the tap for continuous water flow is the best multifunctional one. Sun Joe has the highest maximum preasure of 1196 PSI among portable battery-powered pressure washers.

Testing & Customers Reviews

Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing: "I'm a mobile detailer. As a mobile detailer at this point of my career I do not bring water with me, I do not bring power with me 99.9 percent of the time. I'm working at my customers private homes or their private businesses. Sometimes I've had customers actually say Scott I'm sorry I live in an apartment I have no water outside, I have no power for you to be able to access. Well, in the past, yes, I've been able to do some engine bay details with that scenario. I would take a pump sprayer and try to rinse off the car. It was not that it can't be done but it just slows the process down. It's not as effective. It's not as efficient. And usually sometimes even I kind of turned those jobs down because I was too busy. But now what I'm doing is I grab this little WORX Hydroshot and have a bucket of water.

This is why I like the Worx Hydroshot. It makes me more effective, more efficient. I feel it kind of changes the game for me. I just love the way this thing works, the efficiency it gives me, the more availability I have to customers. In some ways it allowed me to be more profitable and more effective in those scenarios because I do not need power in the moment. Now one thing you have to realize about this machine is that it's not going to rock your world like holy crap this thing can blow stuff off. You're still going to have to agitate it with the cleaner. But what's really great about this one because it's a really compact gun and it's got a long wand I can get back and shoot off grease and grime. I may decide to use this even when there's power and water available to me. It just makes it a little bit quicker instead of breaking out my 50 foot hose and having to reel that thing back up and chuck it in my truck. The battery lasts for about 30-35 minutes if you're holding the trigger continuously. If you use it in the right scenario you'll be able to go all day with it."

SickBiker: "I'm racing on some MPD marathons and Kärcher OC 3 is my I call it r2d2 which helped me to clean the bikes so that I can put those inside the car so that the interior of the car won't look like the tires of my bike. The pressure of the water is safe for our skin so you can use it for washing your dog. I'm using this water to wash myself after really muddy MTB race. Really good stuff for this. It is a low pressure device so do not expect from this thing to give you high pressure. Charging doesn't take really long time. I haven't been checking it very very accurately but not more than two hours I would say. It doesn't take really a lot of space in our little Opel Corsa. It fits with the bike and all the stuff that I'm carrying with me for the races.

The device is very light. I would say it weighs only as much as four liters of the water in the tank because the battery, the pump and the whole device is extremely light. I was surprised how light it was. So it is really really handy. The only concern I have about its quality is this push button. Sometimes it just comes off when I try to open it or close it. It happened maybe twice when I was doing that. Otherwise it looks fine and works pretty good. Using this device is extremely easy. And at this point using this machine I'm really happy with that. I have no problem putting my bike into the car now. I have to complain about this push button because also during the test one of these just fell out and I needed to to fix it so this is the weak spot of this thing. But otherwise small, really light, really handy and doing pretty good job. For the guy like me who's racing every week and has always some bikes that need to be clean it's really really good and I recommend this."

One piece: "I like Sun Joe Cordless Portable Pressure Washer because I can take this to places where I don't want to drag a hose and I don't want to drag an electric cord. It comes with two batteries. It just takes a couple hours to charge them. What I like about it it's very innovative in the sense that you can take this so many places where you can't take your others. It has your latches up here as well. Your water won't splash out. Probably the only thing I wish it had was like a little lock on the brake in case I'm on a hill where my gutters are sometimes but you can find a spot that it will probably sit securely without it. And what I like here too you got your different sprays that you can adjust so you don't have to worry about changing different attachments. I like that.

That's good pressure to it as well. I'm very pleased with the pressure. I like having my water in a bucket to be able to take it to various spots and not worrying about your hose connection with your extension connections which I usually wind up dragging the door and things. So this is a very innovative way to do this. I'm very pleased with it. I thought the quality of the connection points were very nice and easy as well. I think there's enough power to it to clean your gutters and your cars and the things that you need. Of course if you're doing a whole pavement area with grease on this might not be the one that you want but for my purposes and what I'm going to be using this for this is really really innovative and very nifty. I like how everything's set up. I like how easy it is to use and I think this is a really great idea."
