Comfortable and practical use is what comes to our mind while using a wireless gaming mouse. I still reckon that such type of a mouse is not the best option for high-quality gaming.

Some of its disadvantages are as follows: via a wire the signal is transmitted with less losses and higher speed while disturbance can bother your gaming. And, by the way, the battery can run down in a very important moment. It is not crucial but you should be aware of all the nuances for you to know oats of the subject.

There do exist solutions to these negative aspects: the signal frequency is selected manually so as to avoid marriages, then, the speed of the Bluetooth 4.0 connection is decent and doesn’t lag behind the one of the cable, and what about batteries, you just have to take care of them.

If all this suits you, then I invite you to plunge into the world with good wireless mice that do nothing but bring profit.

The first advantage consists in using the space to the fullest. Suppose you own a huge plasma TV while the PC screen leaves much to be desired. Then, having moved the system unit closer, you use the plasma as a computer screen when Mom isn’t watching soap operas.

And, they being wireless, you just take your keyboard and mouse with you and you are racing, as if there were broadcast the ordinary competitions, or overbuilding Inferno at Heroes III. I would not recommend that you play Postal on such a screen. Were someone to come in, this will be embarrassing.

The second one merely arises from the first one. One can lay on a cozy sofa, just relaxing and enjoying the game to the fullest. But every medal has its reverse: if you fall asleep during a night raid in the middlst of a battle with the RB, all your family line risks being cursed.

Well, the third point is transportation. It is more practical to transfer such a mouse around than its two-meter cable analogue.

Modern wireless mice are highly competitive in their characteristics with standard ones to the contarst with the situation 5 or 6 years ago. Today's items can preform the same speed, battery depot doesn't spoil the ergonomics, the response isn't delayed. To sum up everything mentioned above, wireless mice can be of active use among gamers, however, one should remember several nuances.

Main points of choosing a wireless mouse

Today we will try to choose a cross functional gaming mouse.

  • Sensitivity – talking about cross functionality, there arises a need in broad range of permitted values and simple and immediate selection of this index.

  • Programmable buttons – a mouse for every occasion needs a great number of programmable buttons with one nuance: they must not bother you and provoke false responses.

  • Form – this aspect is decisive - comfortable ergonomics and high-quality coverage of the mouse itself preventing it from sliding and hand perspiring. As far as the material of the bottom of a device is concerned, on the contrary, it must not prevent the mouse from gliding as the model is certain to be used not only on a mat or computer desk coverage, but on fairly unpredictable surfaces.

  • Type of controlling – this aspect usually touches upon how you control your mouse: either only with your fingertips or with the whole palm. But I'd say that everything depends on the size of your palm. Have you got a small palm – buy a miniature mouse, while those with big palms will buy big mice, as simple as that.

Now let's move on to popular models review and try to highlight their strongest and weakest points. Also you can read full review of the best gaming mouse.

THE BEST WIRELESS MICE REVIEW

Razer Ouroboros Elite Ambidextrous Gaming Mouse

I have already covered multiple times this very model by Razer. But I simply couldn't forget or omit it in this context. Razer Ouroboros meets the majority of above-mentioned requirements. Its sensitivity of 8200 dpi is not top but quite decent. Evidently, it is adjustable, by the way, immediately, which is very important for different games. Tactile perception gives the impression that the device is made of some natural materials, it is rough and pleasant to touch

The length of the mouse can also be adjusted by a variable back-end. This happens rarely. Although I can't remember adjustable height. This is a distinctive feature bringing a lot of advantages.

Another advantageous feature of the device is its «safety ring» provided by the developers.  The fact is that the mouse functions in two modes, wireless and wire. If you see that the battery is going to run down, it will take you 5-10 seconds to make a connection while it will take you at least 30-40 minutes to go to a shop to buy new batteries. Well, as usual, everything is not ideal.

While changing the connection mode you will need to reset your PC. This model might be worth its price but nevertheless 114$ is a high price to pay for a mouse. Again users disapprove of the SW by Razer: lag, operating odds and constant loss of settings.

Logitech G700s Rechargeable Gaming Mouse

Switzerland is such a Switzerland. Guys from Logitech have recently been bringing me joy. Their line is so accurate and they are so self-disciplined that every device (not only mice) becomes a best-seller. The value of sensitivity is similar to the previous item. The mouse is equipped with 15 buttons, 13 from them being programmable.

Logitech G700s Rechargeable Gaming MouseBut this is not all! The device has its memory for recording and reusing button sequences. It means that macros are inserted into the mouse. Very cool and comfortable.

While palm sweating, Logitech G700s Gaming Mouse doesn't slide any more unlike its previous versions, which is a very important factor. Also the battery can be recharged with the help of connectable cable allowing you to keep on playing without interrupting the process. Of coarse, the cable is a bit rough and brings certain limits to the freedom of actions, but if really necessary, it is possible.

Also this time Logitech paid special attention to ergonomics and quitted the concept of symmetrical construction, which means that the mouse will suit righties only.

Having studied people's reviews and opinions, I can say that negative ones are not numerous, being chaotic, so there is no any common discontent. Someone has a button come adrift, the other's battery is out-of-spec etc. All in all, I recommend you buy this model. Another advantage of it consists in its price of 68$ which is twice lower than the  Razer Ouroboros', and characteristics, you've just seen them by yourselves.

Mad Catz R.A.T.9 Gaming Mouse for PC and Mac

An impressive and expensive thing. Specific design for gamers. Quite often its appearance and the word «cyborg» in its name make people think about Terminator, though I have the film «Transformers» in my mind. From time to time you start to fear lest it should come to life.

Mad Catz R.A.T.9 Gaming Mouse for PC and Mac

Mad Catz R.A.T.9 mouse is adjustable for all types of settings. Physically, you adjust the length through a screw and general weight by imposing and lifting flyweights in the tailpiece. Laps can make the mouse higher and larger.

The top sensitivity value is 6400dpi, the programming pitch valueing 25dpi. This is more than needed. There are programmable buttons, an additional  horizontal scroll wheel and a targeting button on the mouse.

It reduces the sensitivity if pushed. Even the batteries are made hoop-formed. But this is in what one disadvantage consists, too. They are unique and expensive. And the mouse itself costs quite a considerable sum of money, about 140$. What the users are the most discontent with is its price, considering it to be unreasonably high. I agree with them up to the point, as there are analogues that upstages it in characteristics and cost less.

But the design also costs some money. So it is up to you to decide. Well, and don’t hesitate to read our review «Is mouse R.A.T 9 really cooler?» where we compare this device with other R.A.T. models.

E-Blue Mazer II 2500 DPI Wireless Gaming Mouse

Conventionally, let's make way for newbies. I hope you paid attention at once to the value of 2500dpi in the name and decided that anyway it can't be cross-functional. Well done, that's true. This mouse will compete in the lower price tier and its potential owner will belong either to new-coming gamers or to those who play single-player games  one hour or two before going to bed. To put it simply, those who are not so exigent toward their computer accessories.

E-Blue Mazer II 2500 DPI Wireless Gaming MouseThis is a light version weighting only 90 g, which is absolutely little for a mouse with batteries. E-Blue Mazer II Mouse has only 5 buttons but the connection at frequency of 2,4 GHz that serves as a common standard for all. The response frequency of the mouse is 250 Hz.

I don't recommend that you should buy this item if you know what do you need a mouse for. If you don't have a clear orientation and aspiration while you want just a wireless mouse for gaming and general use, then you needn't pay more, this is a perfect option for you for just 23$.

Let's sum it up!

A comfortable wireless mouse is fuzzy notion. If you choose a device for a specific game, then I advise to address previous articles and just buy a wireless version of those devices. Today we’ve covered all the market and chosen cross-functional devices from different price tiers. While buying a wireless mouse, make use of my pieces of advice and everything is going to be all right. Have a nice game!
