Testing & Customers Reviews

Here are the reviews from YouTube bloggers who tested the Rotary Tumblers and have found them effective and worth buying.

Ready Set Reload: "Today I am going to do a review on the Frankford Arsenal rotary tumbler.

So, here's the drum. This is really really thick plastic. The inside of this is lined with rubber. So, you can kind of see how thick that is it feels really good quality and then inside it is molded exactly the same as the outside here.

So, there's a lot of weight in there, right now, and that starts up starts right up. So, I you know I cut the price, because this is a pretty good pretty good job on pretty good job on load. That thing up with putting that tumbler up with brass get me going so I'm going to run this I'm going to actually run this thing for three hours max and then when this thing runs what it's done I'll show you the results and give you my conclusion.

This is great, highly recommend it."

The Friendly Reviewer: "This is Paul with your Friendly Review for the National Geographic rock tumbler.

The National Geographic hobby rock tumbler kit comes a nice box. In it you'll find a strainer, that you can use to make sure the rocks don't fall down your drain. The rock tumbler itself comes in just a few parts with no assembly required. It is easy to operate. It comes with a power supply, extra drive band small bags of grit and an accessory kit. We also purchased a one-pound set of gemstone mix and a one-pound set of Jasper mix, each of those came with a set of grit and accessories.

The hardest part of using the rock tumbler is getting the lid off. Some children may need the parents help to get the lid and the cap off. I find, it helps, if you squeeze the drum while wiggling the lid and cap to get it off.

To use the rock tumbler, you simply put up to one pound of rocks in the drum, carefully pour grit number one into the drum, then fill it with water just high enough that it covers the rocks. Put the lid bit and cap back on it making sure to secure it with the knob. Then you run the rock tumbler for about three to five days. You'll really notice a large change. After this first grit it takes the sharp edges off and makes the rocks very smooth. After each grit is used make sure to check just a couple of rocks and strain them and look at them. Before you dump the whole container make sure it's where you want it to go.

We really like this rock tumbler."
